9. Divorce :-
If a member of the service becomes involved in a matrimonial suit which may, in the opinion of the Government bring discredit upon that member or upon the service, the Government may call upon him to resign, A member of the service who becomes involved in a divorce suit shall notify the Foreign Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of External Affairs of the facts of the case at the earliest moment possible.
